All students will have the opportunity to be tested at the appropriate level by an external examiner to gain welding certification. On the 10 Week full time course trainees will be in a position to complete at least two welding certificates – one on Carbon Steel and one on Stainless Steel pipe.
EIS (Engineering Inspection Specialists) is the external examiner who will do all weld testing and welding certification. EIS have many years experience providing this service to FAS/Solas and Educational Training Boards.

ASME IX or EN9606-1 Up to PED Requirements
- Metal-Arc Gas Shielded welding (MAG) solid wore, plate and fillet welds in vertical up position
- Metal-Arc Gas Shielded welding (MAG) solid wore, plate and fillet welds in horizontal/vertical position
Successful trainees will be awarded a Welder Qualification Certificate to CE1090 Requirements of Procedure EN15614-1 and Welder Qualification to EN9606-1 2013
